Concept
Constellation is an experiment with fabric pattern design, inspired by the night sky.
Design
The varying sizes and orientations of stars capture the apparent randomness of the sky, while the standardised shape hints at an underlying order. Constellation is available for purchase from Spoonflower, in three colour variations: blue/silver, grayscale, and green/gold.
A later iteration produced the final form of Constellation, in a blue and gold combination inspired by the richly decorated ceilings of old churches.
